REAL ESTATE FEES
Fees and disbursements for real estate transactions are due and payable at closing; in the case of a transfer done without a formal closing (for example, to your children), fees and disbursements are due and payable before the transfer documents are sent to the County Clerk for recording.
For a typical residential sale or purchase involving a formal sit down closing, the fee will be from $300 to $750. This fee covers all aspects of the transaction, including preparation of the purchase contract. Your fee will depend upon the size of the transaction, where the closing is held, the extent of any title problems that need to be resolved, pre- and post-possession discussions and agreements, defects that arise with the house, and the amount of work needed to clear liens. After giving us a little information about your sale or purchase, we can give a more definite quote.
Commercial transactions are quoted by the job. Please contact us for a quote.
For preparation and filing of title transfer documents, such as when transfering to your children, you will be charged $150 plus the County Clerk's recording fees (approximately $50 if there is no money paid for the property).
